Joshua Pevnick, MD, MSHS, is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. He has a secondary Associate Professor appointment and serves as the Co-Director of the Division of Informatics in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Pevnick is also the Director of the Clinical Informatics Fellowship Subspecialty Training Program. As a health services researcher, Dr. Pevnick studies health information technology, with areas of focus including medication management, inter-physician communication, patient-generated data, health information exchange, and clinical decision support. Dr. Pevnick is board-certified in internal medicine and clinical informatics (inaugural class). In conjunction with his fellowship in health services research, Dr. Pevnick was awarded the HIMSS Foundation Masters Scholarship and earned a master's degree in health services from UCLA. He currently has R01 funding from the National Institutes of Health (National Institute on Aging) to study the use of health information technology and pharmacy personnel to improve medication management for older adults, with focus on care transitions. Dr. Pevnick also mentors several NIH-funded trainees, and serves as the Curriculum Director for Cedars-Sinai's Clinical Scholars program and the Career Enhancement Core for Cedars-Sinai's&nbsp;<span>Specialized Center of Research Excellence on Sex Differences.</span>&nbsp;
