Pramod V. Butte, PhD

Assistant Professor, Neurosurgery

Research Scientist, Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute

The research of Pramod Butte, PhD, focuses on translational research in the field of biophotoncs. Butte's lab is developing novel intra-operative imaging/visualization technologies to aid the surgeon in achieving near-complete tumor excision. He has also been exploring the technique of time-resolved laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy for delineation of primary brain tumors in near real-time. Butte is developing a novel near-infrared imaging system for visualizing a tumor marker which is used to tag the tumor and make them glow during surgery.

Many of the physicians who have medical staff privileges to practice medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center are independent physicians, and not employees or agents of the hospital. These independent physicians bill separately for their services. You should contact your physician to determine their status and billing practices.
